Palm Pictures brings Senegalese pop superstar Baaba Maahl's phenomenal live show to your living room via this home video release. This is one of the first live concerts filmed, recorded and mixed specifically for DVD. Six digital cameras shot the concert, and the sound was recorded by using Sony 48-track digital equipment. The audio tracks were mixed in DTS 5.1 Surround Sound and 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound.
Recorded July 13th 1998 at London's famed Royal Festival Hall, the concert features Baaba Maahl's exceptional band Daande Lenol (Voice Of The People), joined by Jamaican guitar virtuoso Ernest Ranglin and The Screaming Orphans as special guests. |
